Des profondeurs du théâtre d’enquête émerge un spectacle aussi tentaculaire que captivant. Entre réalité et fiction, Françoise Bloch tisse un récit entre l'intime et le collectif.

Loin des conventions théâtrales habituelles, Pieuvre 1 + 2 & 3 se déploie à partir d’un fait personnel, point de départ d'une enquête au sein d’un dispositif intimiste, le public étant amené à déambuler à travers plusieurs espaces du plateau.

Pieuvre 1 (Traces) sonde, à partir d’un fait divers – à moins qu’il ne s’agisse d’un événement dit « tragique » –, les articulations entre l’intime, l’historique et le politique. Dans Pieuvre 2 (Fantômes), ce même fait est à l’origine d’une réflexion poétique sur la présence des mort·es auprès des vivant·es, ainsi que sur notre besoin de récits, de fiction et de représentation. Enfin, dans Pieuvre 3, les deux acteur·ices-chercheur·ses et le musicien participant au voyage sont aux prises avec une question en apparence naïve : le théâtre peut-il permettre à un mort de répondre aux interrogations des vivant·es ?

Le chantier Pieuvre puise son énergie dans une disparition et examine un non-dit. À la fois rigoureux et ludique, avec une humilité qui invite à la réflexion, Pieuvre 1 + 2 se déploie comme une conférence illustrée solo, tandis que Pieuvre 3 propose une exploration collective. Ces formes s’additionnent les unes aux autres et ne se privent d’aucune digression.

From the depths of investigative theatre emerges a production as sprawling as it is captivating. Straddling reality and fiction, Françoise Bloch weaves a narrative that moves between the personal and the collective.

Far removed from conventional theatrical conventions, *Pieuvre 1 + 2 & 3* unfolds from a personal experience, the starting point for an investigation within an intimate setting, with the audience invited to wander through various areas of the stage.

Pieuvre 1 (Traces) explores, through a news item – or perhaps what might be termed a ‘tragic’ event – the connections between the personal, the historical and the political. In Pieuvre 2 (Ghosts), this same event forms the basis for a poetic reflection on the presence of the dead amongst the living, as well as on our need for narratives, fiction and representation. Finally, in Pieuvre 3, the two actor-researchers and the musician taking part in the journey grapple with a seemingly naïve question: can theatre enable a dead person to answer the questions of the living?

The Pieuvre project draws its energy from a loss and examines what remains unsaid. Both rigorous and playful, with a humility that invites reflection, Pieuvre 1 + 2 unfolds as an illustrated solo lecture, whilst Pieuvre 3 offers a collective exploration. These forms complement one another and do not shy away from any digression.
